The WRC is the FIA World Rally Championship, a tough motorsport using rally cars on real roads around the world. Watch the best rally drivers battle on gravel and asphalt roads with mud, rain, dust, ice and heat! Watch high speed action as the rally drivers power slide and drift round narrow corners, go flat out over a big jump or through a watersplash, handbrake turn round a hairpin, survive a big moment, or have a massive crash! Rally requires maximum attack and careful tactics to become world rally champion.
Each rally has timed sections called special stages, on closed roads. Drivers complete these stages as quickly as possible. A co-driver reads pace notes that explain the hazards ahead. Rally drivers use the same rally car to travel to each stage on public roads, following normal traffic regulations. The crew which completes all the stages in the shortest time is the rally winner. Championship points are won using the same scoring system as Formula 1. The championship is administered by Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), motorsport's world governing body.
Over 30 countries have hosted WRC rallies. Rally Monte Carlo, Rally Argentina, Rally Finland, Rally Portugal, Tour de Corse on Corsica, France, Rally Sardegna on Sardinia, Italy, Safari Rally in Kenya, Acropolis Rally in Greece, Rally New Zealand, Rally Australia, Rally Japan, Rally GB, Rally Catalunya, Rallye Deutschland, Rally Mexico and many more.
Some of the world's greatest drivers have won the FIA World Rally Championship for Drivers, like Colin McRae, Carlos Sainz, Walter Röhrl, Stig Blomqvist, Petter Solberg, Ott Tänak. The list of world rally champions includes many Finnish rally drivers like Juha Kankkunen, Tommi Mäkinen, Ari Vatanen, Marcus Grönholm, Hannu Mikkola. French drivers have had success with Sébastien Ogier, and 9 times world champion Sébastien Loeb. Famous drivers from other motorsports have come to try rally driving like Ken Block from Rallycross, and Robert Kubica and Kimi Räikkönen from F1.
Car companies compete for the prestigious FIA World Rally Championship for Manufacturers awarded to the most successful WRC constructor. Winners include Citroen, Hyundai, Volkswagen and Peugeot. Ford have had success with the Ford Escort, Ford Focus and Ford Fiesta when the M-Sport team won in 2017.
The 1980's featured the iconic Group B rally cars like the Lancia 037 and Delta S4, Peugeot 205 T16, MG Metro 6R4, Ford RS200 and Audi Quattro.
Japan dominated the 1990s with the Mitsubishi Lancer, Subaru Impreza, and Toyota Celica and Toyota Corolla. Toyota returned to the WRC in 2017 with the Toyota Yaris WRC, winning in 2018. The 2019 championship was won by Hyundai with the Hyundai i20 Coupe WRC. Find out about the latest winners and champions at www.wrc.com

What a joke of a rally for a joke of a year.

The worst rally ever. Why don´t going to San Remo and make a proper rally? This stop and go stages intended to make things spectacular are awful, the spectacular on rallies is car going fast on authentic roads! You are killing the sport!
Yes exactly! This is ridiculous running around in circles; putting almost 180 degrees chicanes where drivers have to use clutch that cars don't stall, just that they could drive on a GP circuit wtf? Or the over slippery snow roads.. phuuh!

Ogier chose Evans thinking it will be good to have a team mate who will not challenge you. and baam. Evans is righ there

Takamoto should go back to go karts. What a waste he's been
Haha we all done that on t1 at Monza, it is ok

What exactly are the black wheel hub covers on the toyotas?
@HairlessBear yeah I've heard that too (mainly to keep them clean) but I wasn't sure and I wanted to double check
The commentators said they are just to protect the wheel nuts, keep them clean
When did rally cars start putting all that aerodynamic ground effects crap on the cars? Is it because they are racing on tarmac or is it always like that? Haven't watched in a long long time.
@Richard G Wrc+ are the group B of this era. I think that people don't really understand how epic this cars are. Yes, the next generation Will be less beautiful, but i Hope that, with less costs, more constructors Will come, and the current constructors Will remain
@GramerDim Yes, that's the thing we're talking about.
@Sean Thompson WRC has been absolutely epic since the 2017 season, I'd say the best has passed now with the departure of Citroën and the lack of support from Ford, but I believe this era will be remembered as a great one. Also, I suspect the next regulations will tone the cars down somewhat for cost reasons.
Yeah I can see those old cars with it but I was talking modern era like from mid '90s when Colin was tearing it up in the Subaru 555 until the mid '00s when it got boring seeing Loeb win everything all the time. That's when I stopped watching. For the most part during that time none of the cars had that stuff on them (Impreza, 206, EVO, Xsara, early Focus).
They all did it for group B. So since the 80s
Who gonna taked driving license to Katsuta? Every race he's in trouble🤦
This rally is for Robert Kubica
I think that these stages are really interesting change to the classic format. We also might not see such rally ever in the future.
Use your imagination haters
Mathematically if the results stay the same who will win the title
Based simply on if rally positions stayed same as stage one times, Elyvn would win the title by one point from Ogier. However there is also the power stage where more points are available.
DONALD TRUMP LOL
This is the first WRC video I could not watch till the end. This stages looks like from a 3.rd class village race in some developing counties.
The alternative would have been no more rallies, a 6 rounds Championship, so? They made this rally in 50 days, not bad I think. Moreover, I like these stages, they are very tricky, and I especially wait for those on saturday
Ginkana
Go Seb

Fantastic 😍💋 💝💖♥️❤️
Simlar track Hungarian Hungaroring New years rally 😍😍😍😍😍
Not a bad idea but theres not space enough i think
Will you ever have proper highlights? Idc about WRC+. After seeing your awful highlight videos for years. I'll never buy it. Plus when new fans watch these awful videos. I highly doubt they will stick around long.
And they now even added ads over the stream you are paying for...
just watch Red Bull TV highlights
@Marv Dondokambey Just as BAD M8
There's Red Bull TV for you mate
@The useless blue one and when they are not racing in stages they got retro rallies and tech talk and my favourite, live footage at the service park! Over the weekend 12 hours a day my TV just stay tune in to it.
No music in your already poor coverage
There shouldn’t be music
OGIER FTW! Ok I'm gonna get mugged by Elfyn fans now halp! Seriously tho... This guy gets no where near enough respect
@Viktor Jansson Yeah, a shock Tanak win would be nice as well. It might not look so bad for him after all after Evans S🅱inalla in Shakedown. TIME TO FAST TANAK
He’s been champion 6 times, and he has all my respect but it’s always fun to see some one new win the championship like tänak last year

I see a lot of rally purists hate these style stages, but I gotta say I love them
it looks fine
@JT I like to see something different, and Monza is definitely one of those, I have to see the remaining stages, let's hope for a great and dramatic race 😀😀
@Underbird The options seemed to be this or nothing, so I'll gladly take this. I understand the issues some have with this and Id agree ideally this wouldn't be a title deciding event..but I like different
@Underbird it's better than nothing
Me too Its basically Monte plus Monza
Goo toyota gazoo racing
May the best one win ;) Now that's an exciting end to the season.
What are those black disks on rims?
@Ondra Spendlik I have never seen those either, but they explained it during the SS1 cast. Very interesting solution!
@RallySac I had no idea. I don't remember seeing these before, to be honest, so I was also wondering why.
To protect the nuts. Whenever they rally and need to change the tires, sometimes the nuts are too slippery or too dirty to disconnect the tires. So they take off the disc and they can work in a clean environment.
i think some tarmac rally thing or weigt balancer thing
Go Elvins! Go Toyota!
Elfyn the king
yes this is what i've been waiting for
