What oracle is all about? Is this an software or any application developement tool? Ppl who know abt this plz help me to clear my doubts? How can i study Oracle? Is there any institute offering courses in oracle and how will be the job prospects if i finish this course?

They offer a lot of applications/software packages to the market (eg Oracle Financials, Oracle E-Business Suite, Oracle Datawarehouse). Most notable of which is their Relational Database Management Systems (latest version is Oracle 11g). Oracle databases are widely used in big companies and a lot of websites due to its robustness, reliability, speed, & scalability.
