Career in Seibel, Oracle apps or SAP? I am an Informatica Developer workng for about a year now. I feel a switch to an ERP tool will do my career some good. I do not know enuf to predict how the market will turn out in the future, and am unable to decide.... below are my quandaries - With Oracle fusion coming along, does moving to siebel make any sense? (the only reason i am considering siebel is becos of their close tie up with Informatica, which is their preferred ETL tool of choice...) - if not Siebel, I am caught between the likes of Oracle and SAP. Both r giants... both are popular... and I dont know enuf of either to make a decision. I will be grateful to any pundit will to shed some light! - the final option is very simple... this seems very near sighted, but could work... look at the demand for these in the current market, and plunge into one.... :)
Is India, a real software giant or a shrewd marketing ploy? All hardware, OS, database solutions, SAP, JD Edwards, ERP, Banking, Financial, Process control....literally nothing is made in India. We are just end users or developers and low cost BPO workers. There is NOT a single Indian brand in the software segment. Then why do we brag so much about our computer prowess and brain power?. This is just a trick to tap the huge consumer base of 300 million middle class. This not to underestimate our capbility and contribution. This is a wakeup call to change our "call centre employee" mindset. Otherwise all the brains will get rusted. Thanks Senthil. You have just echoed my views and the government's cool attitude in just making some foreign exchange without any master plans for our brilliant brains. Shame on these politicians.
