Is a CISCO Networking Specialist certificate employable? What are the chances of a graduate from a community college with a CISCO Networking Specialist certificate getting a job. Cisco Networking, How Do I get into this field? The only experience I have with computers is using office software like Excel, Word etc... I know nothing about Cisco Networking or routers. I want to become Cisco Certified and start a career. Where do I start?
Can someone recommend a router for my Cisco networking CCNA? I'm going through the Cisco CCNP program - I'm now in my CCNA. I desperately need my own routers at home, as I live so far away from the school's lab. However, I'm pretty ignorant of what kind of router I'll need. Money is a concern, too, and I don't mind buying used. I was thinking of buying an appropriate router off eBay. Can someone recommend a specific router (model and such)? One I had looked at only had one ethernet port, which didn't seem good, and someone asked about modules..... Any help would be appreciated, especially someone already in networking.
Cisco networking academy certificate: What can I do? Hi, I was thinking of getting an associate degree in Information systems, Networking. But, in the meantime I see my school also has a cisco networking certificate you can get - all of the classes/credits for this certificate will transfer into the IT degree if and when you decide to get it. So , I was wondering - what could I do with the Cisco certificate? What are the job options, and what is the salary? Thanks for any info.
Nuclear Physics, Electron Microscopy or Cisco Networking? Hi, I have a question for you guys, because I believe that the advice of some people can help me to get the right way. My target is Nuclear Physics, but, I wish to get a hands on training career first (2 years only) and, after that, to continue mi education to be a Physicist. The careers that I am talking are the Electron Microscopy Program and Cisco Networking Program, I need to get advice of people working in both areas if is possible, because, in the future, I need to work at night in one of them to attend classes in the day time in the Physics Program in a University. What do I need to know is in what of them I have more alternative to work at night, because if it's hard to find a job in the night time in one of them, I will enroll on the another one. Thank you for your time, All your answers are welcome.

Cisco and networking specialists, is this true? I heard that Cisco have so called Cisco Dual Core Layer 3 Router Switch, that is a Switch dose some of layer’s 3 (Router) functions as well as its supplied with Primary/Secondary backup system in case e.g. some of the ports and/or power supply fail the secondary ones kicks in, is that true? If yes where I can find more info about this? Because frankly I am very interested in this idea and yet I am not so confidence of its existence. Thanks.

hey guys what u know abt cisco networking or hardware certify programs in terms of career? hi, i hav no degree but 10+2 mat phy chem , i want to settle early in a gud and flexible job and then want to study BCA+MCA or its equivalent DOEACC B level course, i am intrested in software field and not in hardware but i cant pay much time for BCA+MCA or DOEACC levels now itself as i need fianancial support in order to do these, so i feel getting job in hardware/networking field is easier and earlier, what to do, to go for networking courses to settle down or anything else in software side which earns me money in a short time, i think if i do job in software side it will helpful to me in future for studying mca/doeacc levels what ever it may be as per that time

Are CISCO certifications still valuable in industry / Are they worth the money, time and effort? I’m an automotive electronics/diagnostic engineer looking at a career change. I’m looking at Cisco network certifications, and can see on the major job search engines that those certifications command a high salary (not my only motivation). There are a lot of articles cropping up stating that these certifications are worth what they once were and experience is a more valuable asset. I have experience of automotive in-vehicle network protocols, but none of a computer network. Please recommend any other certifications or list your suggestions. Thanks That should be "There are a lot of articles cropping up stating that these certifications aren't worth what they once were and experience is a more valuable asset" I've got an electronics degree which involved tele-comm's theory.

Cisco Network Assistance not responding?? after installing cisco network assistance, when i want to connect to a cisco switch (catalyst 2960) in the network it simply cannot connect. it returns an error message saying: Unable to connect. i set the protocol to HTTP, and port to 80. i wonder what the problem could be, by the way i could not even get to the user log on and password screen. do i need to do any special configuration on the cisco network assistance? or what, can anyone help??
Cisco Network Topology Design Software? My old teacher showed me this program made by Cisco that you could design a network on. It wasn't a program that maps an existing network. You could make a map showing pictures of your hosts, routers, switches, etc. Then it would label below each one with your IP addresses and subnet masks and stuff. I don't remember the name of this program. I can't seem to find anything on the web similar to what I am looking for. Anyone able to help? Someone at my company was asking about it. Money is not that big of a deal. For that matter I just need a program that lets me make network maps if someone knows of one that is not a cisco program I would take that.
